I had similar problems (on x86). I had to do both of the=20
following to get Cinelerra (akirad packages) to work here:

=2D get the latest kernel from -proposed (not 100% sure if this is=20
really necessary)
=2D start cinelerra with
LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=3Dtrue Cinelerra
(I got the hint here:=20
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synergy/+bug/182825)

This is not beautiful, but definitely better than sudo.
